Since around 1 a.m. on October 9, 2026, the Coupang and Coupang Eats apps haven’t been opening properly. It’s an outage in which login and user information can’t be loaded, and Coupang said it was an IT system error.
As of 2 a.m., whether service had been restored and the specific cause hadn’t been confirmed.

According to Vegan News, the Coupang app showed only the logo, search bar, and bottom menu, with the main areas of the home screen empty. Several posts about connection problems and blank search result screens went up on online communities between 1:00 and 1:02 a.m.

Coupang’s position
According to SBS, Coupang’s customer center said customer and order information couldn’t be checked due to an IT system error and that it was working to restore service. Asked whether it was a hack, it said it wasn’t.
